SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE 5, ROCHESTER 0 IN ROCHESTER

The Red Wings had just three hits.

Pitching stars:  Gabriel Moya was the opener and pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.  Matt Morin pitched two innings, giving up an unearned run on three hits.  Austin Adams struck out three in a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.

Opposition star:  Chance Adams struck out nine in six shutout innings, giving up three hits and one walk.

Stats:  Randy Cesar was 0-for-4 and is batting .311.  Moya and Morin have ERAs of zero.  Matt Magill pitched a third of an inning, giving up a run on one hit, and has an ERA of 1.69.

Dylan Busby hit a two-run homer in the second and the Marauders led the rest of the way.

Pitching stars:  Jhoan Duran pitched five innings, giving up two runs on four hits and a walk and striking out two.  Melvi Acosta struck out four in three innings, giving up an unearned run on four hits and a walk.

Opposition star:  Cody Bolton struck out six in six innings, giving up an unearned run on four hits and a walk.

Stats:  Lewin Diaz was 1-for-4 and is batting .358.

Record:  The Miracle was 12-8, third in the Florida State League South, three games behind Palm Beach.

CEDAR RAPIDS 4, WISCONSIN 3 IN WISCONSIN

The Kernels built a 4-0 lead through four and a half and held on.

Batting stars:  Gabe Snyder was 3-for-4 with a triple.  Hunter Lee was 2-for-3 with a home run (his second) and a walk, scoring twice.  Gabriel Maciel was 2-for-4.  David Banuelos was 2-for-4 with a double.

Pitching stars:  Jacob Blank pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up a hit and two walks and striking out one.  Derek Molina pitched a perfect inning.

Opposition star:  David Fry was 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.

Stats:  Maciel is batting .440.  Snyder is batting .405.  Trey Cabbage was 0-for-4 and is batting .339.  Blank has an ERA of zero.
