The Kernels tied it with three in the eighth, but the Snappers got a run in the ninth to win it.  Daniel Ozoria was 3-for-4.  Gabe Snyder was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, his sixteenth.  Jared Akins was 2-for-4 with a double.  Josh Winder pitched five innings, giving up one run on five hits and a walk and striking out three.  His ERA is 2.81.  Rickey Ramirez struck out three in three innings, giving up one run on two hits.  His ERA is 1.00.  The Kernels are 29-21, in third place, five games back.

ELIZABETHTON 4, PULASKI 2 IN ELIZABETHTON

Parker Phillips hit a three-run homer in a four-run third that gave the Twins all the runs they needed.  Max Smith was 2-for-3 with a double.  Charles Mack was 2-for-4.  Phillips was 1-for-3 with a home run (his fifth) and a walk.  He has homered in three consecutive games and is batting .368 in his last ten games.  Andriu Marin struck out eleven in six innings, giving up an unearned run on four hits and no walks.  Owen Griffith pitched a perfect inning and has an ERA of 3.00.  The Twins are 27-25, tied for first with Johnson City.

GCL TWINS AT GCL RAYS

DSL CARDINALS BLUE 8, DSL TWINS 2 AT TWINS

The Cardinals Blue scored two in the third to break a 1-1 tie and led the rest of the way.  Yelinson Pena was 2-for-4.  Anferny Olivo was 2-for-4.  Leyner Ponce struck out three in 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up a walk.  The Twins are 20-35, in eighth place, eighteen games back.  The loss eliminated them from the playoffs.
