    1. The tanker truck that just drove into the crowd on the 35W bridge? That may have been attempted third degree murder. (Hedging because we have no idea whether he was trying to blow through the protesters or if he just took a wrong turn on a closed highway and really didn't know where he was or what to do.)

      Given what just happened with the prosecution, I'm now going to zip it out of a ridiculous abundance of caution.

        Reading this article just makes me feel even more confident that there might well be a sizable gap in our statutes/common law mix wherein "engaging in dangerous behavior towards a specific person" is not considered murder.

        I was unaware of the State v. Grigsby precedent however. That certainly makes 2nd degree murder charge more tenable.
