LOUISVILLE 1, ST. PAUL 0 IN ST. PAUL

The lone run came in the second on a Jan Hernandez RBI double.

Batting stars:  None.  The Saints had two hits, both singles.

Pitching stars:  Drew Strotman pitched five innings, giving up one run on four hits and three walks and striking out three.  Jovani Moran retired all eight men he faced, striking out four.  Edgar Garcia retired all four men he faced, striking out one.

Opposition stars:  Hunter Greene struck out ten in 6.1 scoreless innings, giving up one hit and one walk.  Beau Taylor was 1-for-2 with a walk.  Braxton Lee was 1-for-3 with a walk.

Good stats:  Nick Gordon was 1-for-4 and is batting .375.  Jose Miranda was 0-for-3 and is batting .348.  Moran has an ERA of 2.19.  Garcia has an ERA of 2.96.

Bad stats:  J. T. Riddle was 0-for-3 and is batting .190.  Keon Broxton was 0-for-3 and is batting .196.

Record:  The Saints are 42-38, in third place in the AAA East/Midwest, 4.5 games behind Omaha.

MIDLAND 13, WICHITA 12 IN WICHITA (10 INNINGS)

The Wind Surge trailed 4-0, led 9-4 and 10-6, were tied at ten, led 12-10, and were tied at twelve through nine.  Chase Calabuig's RBI single won it for the Rock Hounds in the tenth.

Batting stars:  Ernie De La Trinidad was 4-for-5 with three runs.  Trey Cabbage was 2-for-5 with a home run (his seventh), a triple, a walk, and two runs.  Jermaine Palacios was 2-for-5 with a home run (his fifteenth), a double, and two runs.  Roy Morales was 2-for-6 with a double and two RBIs.  Andrew Bechtold was 1-for-5 with a home run, his thirteenth.  Austin Martin was 1-for-3 with three walks and three RBIs.

Pitching stars:  Jhonleider Salinas struck out three in 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up three walks.  Mitchell Osnowitz struck out three in two innings, giving up an unearned run on two hits and three walks.

Opposition stars:  Calabuig was 3-for-5 with a walk.  Devin Foyle was 2-for-5 with a home run (his seventh), a walk, two runs, and three RBIs.  Jhonny Santos was 2-for-5 with a double, a walk, two runs, and three RBIs.

Starter:  Jordan Balazovic pitched 4.2 innings, allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks and striking out four.

Good stats:  Martin is batting .444.

Bad stats:  Chris Nunn allowed two runs in two-thirds of an inning and has an ERA of 5.06.  Salinas has an ERA of 6.23.  Sean Gilmartin found his way back to the Twins and allowed four runs in an inning.  He has an ERA of 12.27.

Record:  The Wind Surge is 46-35, in first place in the AA Central/North, three games ahead of Arkansas and Tulsa.

QUAD CITIES 8, CEDAR RAPIDS 2 IN CEDAR RAPIDS

Leading 3-0, the River Bandits scored four in the fifth on a solo homer by John Rave and a three-run homer by Seuly Matias.

Batting stars:  Seth Gray was 2-for-4 with a triple.  Jair Camargo was 2-for-4 with a double.  DaShawn Keirsey was 1-for-4 with a two-run homer, his third.

Pitching star:  Tyler Palm pitched three shutout innings, giving up one hit and striking out two.

Opposition stars:  Michael Massey was 3-for-5 with two doubles.  Maikel Garcia was 2-for-4.  Rave was 2-for-5 with two home runs (his ninth and tenth) and three RBIs.

Starter:  Ben Gross pitched 4.1 innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits and a walk and striking out three.

Good stats:  Yunior Severino was 0-for-4 and is batting .321.  Erik Manoah, Jr. gave up one run on 1.2 innings and has an ERA of 1.00.

Bad stats:  Keirsey is batting .196.  Palm has an ERA of 7.04.

Record:  The Kernels are 44-37, in second place in the High-A Central/West, eleven games behind Quad Cities.

DUNEDIN 8, FORT MYERS 0 IN FORT MYERS

The Blue Jays scored in six of the nine innings.  The Mighty Mussels had just two hits.

Pitching star:  Bradley Hanner struck out four in 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up a hit and a walk.

Opposition stars:  Sem Robberse pitched five shutout innings, giving up one hit and one walk and striking out four.

Starter:  Landon Leach struck out five in five innings, but allowed four runs on six hits and two walks.

Good stats:  Zaquiel Puentes gave up an unearned run in one inning and has an ERA of 1.17.

Bad stats:  Nick Garland was 0-for-1 and is batting .091.  Nick Anderson was 0-for-2 and is batting .159.  Willie Joe Garry, Jr. was 0-for-3 and is batting .175.  Aaron Sabato was 0-for-3 and is batting .187. Juan Pichardo allowed three runs in 1.2 innings and has an ERA of 5.68.  Hanner has an ERA of 7.98.
