  1. We're tied for second place in the Central now and I'm trying hard not to succumb to the streak fallacy. It feels like, as the streak goes on, the odds of winning the next game decrease with every new win. I know intellectually that's wrong but still. Despite their early troubles, or maybe because of them, this team has something special going on right now and I hope more fans catch on. It's loose, it's goofy, and it's fun. The bomba squad has given way to the boys of summer sausage.

    1. Yeah, I'm not really ready to say they're a contender or anything, but its definitely been a lot of fun. Also the offense was so bad early on that it wasn't sustainable. Once again I'd like to thank the White Sox for being abjectly terrible and doing a great job of instilling confidence in Twins hitters. Made em more hitter-ish.

      1. I looked into this today. Since coming off the IL on 4/22, Max Kepler is slashing .400/.463/.629/1.092. Same timeframe, Willi Castro is .431/.442/.706/.1.148. Jeffers, .366/.449/.659/1.108. Larnach, /.385/.484/.577/1.061. Julien has a 1.102 OPS in that stretch. Santana homered in four of those twelve games. It's been a remarkable turnaround up and down the lineup.

  2. There was an event for tball players a little earlier to get gloves from the Twins, and Tommy Watkins and Trevor Larnach were there chatting with kids. When we passed in the line, I asked Watkins if he felt bad about Angel never being at third base during the whole series. He laughed and said, "It made it easier for me but to not get into any trouble."
