    1. On September 15th the Twins will have their first early weekday game start with first pitch at 6:40 p.m. Gets the kids home to bed at a decent hour on a school night.

    2. its early to us Central Time Zoners, 5pm is an early start time but in Cleveland its 6pm which makes it early, yet reasonable.

        1. But now that the games routinely take nearly 4 hours, a 6pm start is even better than a 640 start

          1. somewhat related, I was thinking about this idea the other day: it may not actually speed up the game but make it feel like its played at a quicker pace. move the start time to right at the top of the hour. that extra 10 minutes may mean a lot of games end right around 10pm.

  1. Well, it looks like the entire litter of squirrels has been abandoned or orphaned. We kenneled another one last night and it got picked up this morning. There are two more out there, probably up in the knothole, but we haven't seen them yet today, and there's been no sign of a mama squirrel for a third straight day now. As soon as we see the other pups we'll catch them and get them to the rehab shelter, assuming they made it through the night.

  2. Let this be a lesson, don't forget about your fantasy football draft or you'll end up with Matthew freakin' Stafford as your QB.

    1. I totally had plans of joining in the draft then I got distracted by the terrible soccer the USMNT was displaying/

  3. I put in a request to work remotely from Spain for most of November to my boss, and she's going to talk to her boss.

She didn't say "Over my dead body" so that's promising.

    1. When she goes to talk to her boss is she going to propose that she also be allowed to work remotely from Spain?

      1. My boss loves Spain too. We've joked about opening up the European office together. I'm just sorta taking it a step past joking.
