  1. Warm where you are, anyway. Here, where the battle wasn't, we have a winter weather advisory starting at noon.

    1. We are in Mammoth Lakes, CA, and it’s unsurprisingly plenty cold. We are currently in the middle of a massive snow storm, which has been averaging a bit more than an inch an hour since Sunday night. It’s supposed to taper off by 6 or so tonight, so hopefully we’ll actually be able to get out to ski tomorrow.

        1. Yep. Looks like another 7-8” coming between Wednesday and Thursday. Hoping this means exceptional skiing tomorrow and Friday.

      1. Kernel has been playing with an old snowboard of mine the pst two winters. The bindings are too big or missing pieces where I’ve scavenged for parts for one or the other of my newer boards. He doesn’t care, but it is pretty heavy for him.
Picking up new snow boots for my wife at REI last Saturday and found a small “real” children’s snowboard in the Garage (basically the scratch & dent, for those who aren’t aware). It was sporting a broken binding latch, and a half-off price tag.
Brought it home - actually had a replacement binding strap w/ latch in my ski & snowboard tote bin - so Sunday, with the big Minnesota snowfall, had my kids outside sledding and boarding for hours.
I hope you get out to ski as well … funny to think the mountain west getting too much snow to play in.

  2. Big rainstorm here yesterday ("atmospheric river"). One of our skylights started leaking during the worst of it. Good times.

  3. I started getting notifications yesterday from my Orbi router security software that some malware was being blocked.

omnatuor.com on my phone. I had to clear all data from FF (resetting it to original settings, losing all bookmarks, etc.). That seems to have done the trick (so far). But boo. Mean people suck. I have no idea how my phone got infected. I mean, I don't even use my phone for pr0n!

    1. With my new job I put the Outlook app on my phone so I can check email and calendar on the go. The company is very, very security conscious, so installing the app also involved letting them add a whole new security layer. Basically they can see just about everything I do on my phone, so also no pr0n.
