Reports of Luis Arraez's demise have been greatly exaggerated
Hatless Joe Ryan in the dugout looks like he is auditioning to be Harry Potter's stunt double in the Weird Al movie.
Ooh, Perkins hasn't forgiven Phil Cuzzi. That was since great shade.
I literally laughed out loud
Good job Dylan Bundy!
contact play.... actually worked!
UGGGHHHHHH
I believe in the Angels ability to blow this
I believe in Pagan's ability to blow this.
At least the out call at home didn't get overturned.
Quijada is very, uh, animated.
Buxton, wooooowwwww!!!!
BUXTON! hell yeah
BUX!!!
Ohtani didn't tag second on way back so they could have appealed that too
Paganed again
Resistable Force vs Movable Object.
so dumb
what a terrible loss
Honestly. You know what I’d like to see!!?!? I’d like to see Rocco as fucking fired up about this bs loss post game as he was at that offensively bad blocking the plate call from NY last week. All that ferocious, ‘this decision could have an impact on our post season’ stuff feels appropriate here too.
I don't know. The other day his anger was to defend his team. I suspect ranting about your own players screwing up is more for the fans' benefit and isn't that effective a motivator for the players.
That’s fair.
I just feel like Baldelli’s responses to the reporters - which are typically for the benefit of the fans who pay to see this team - rarely call anyone in the clubhouse to task for their poor performance. I suppose his demeanor is what works for Falvey, Levine and the players, but (again) it feels like he patronizingly poo-poohs the fan base with his admonishments to not get too high or low. It should be important that players and FO aren’t the only audience to consider.
On the other hand, I hated it when leadership (players, coaches, manager and FO) mishandled the communications regarding Joe’s injuries and subsequent move to 1st base … so I dunno.
The ONLY good that can come out of a game like this is the FO saying "Enough is enough!"
I hope this doesn't come across as contentious, because I don't mean it to be. I'm just curious. If the front office did say, "Enough is enough!", what do you think it would do?
That's why they're paid the big bucks. My only answer is "something, please."
I don't know. A lot of bad decisions are made in the name of "We have to do something."
Taylor Rogers lost his sixth game this season today.
But I do get it. Not to put words in your mouth or Can of Corn's mouth, but it seems to me what you're saying is that someone needs to do something to make it clear that the level of play we're seeing is not acceptable and that something needs to change. A part of me agrees with that, but I don't know if substantial changes are possible at this point in the season.
Even moving deck chairs around is "better" than seeing the ship stewards standing around.
