While I'll keep playing Wordle, I think I'm going to stop submitting results here next year.
I've kept playing Wordle, but I usually play on my phone, whereas I almost never come to this site on my phone (usually a browser), so it's become too much hassle to post results here. Instead, I just post on a text chain with some friends.
I'm surprised how long people have continued. A few have dropped off but it's been otherwise consistent.
Posting results here has kept me playing far more consistently than I think I would have otherwise.
For sure.
I also post on a family Wordle thread so it's literally 30 seconds more to post here as well.
This was my thought too. I figured I might occassionally post notable results, but those are rare.
Looks like we started on 1/11/22 if you want to go for a full year.
My significant other and I pretty much do it every day, but only share it with each other to compare which ways we diverged.
I hope we keep going at least until stare and young are words
Heh, when you get your hole in one, then you are set free...
There have been several close ones for "stare". On September 11 of last year, the answer was "start". Later that year on November 28, the answer was "store". Two this year were close: "scare" on April 8 and "stale" on November 6.
I don't plan to stop until it happens!
Hey Rows -- I'm in Omerha the week of Jan 9-13. We should try meet (weather permitting!), it's been a while
Sounds good! I'll pencil you in.
Gleeman is apparently reporting the Twins have made Correa a “massive” contract offer.
His article on The Athletic is no more specific than what you just wrote.
All MLB contracts are "massive" these days.
It's a nearly guaranteed consequence of the current system with rookie contracts and arbitration. Teams that want to spend are going to use the money somewhere and there are very few free agents worth spending on by the time they reach free agency.
RIP Angelo Badalamenti
I loved his Twin Peaks soundtrack.
Update: Three-year deal for Christian Vazquez with the Twins.
I posted that at first, but I don't want to give any $8/monthers any volume. Anyway, if true, that seems perfectly reasonable.
He won't be a star or anything, but he should be an upgrade over what they have. And I certainly can't object to having a Christian on the team.
👏
I was hoping for a better source but couldn't quickly find anything else.
Hopefully there are more moves to be made in the pitching department
I am unsure if starting pitching will be moved upon. Not really crazy about the numbers and years being tossed around on the few quality starters that could make an impact on our squad. Maybe a trade might be possible, but not holding my breath. I am hoping they pick up a quality arm or two for the bullpen. For me, I am eager to see a move at shortstop and possibly another right handed bat for the outfield, even if it is a platoon guy.
