  1. I’m going to have a house full of people to watch the Cousins show. Either way there’s brisket (and hopefully no gun play).

  2. I’m expecting a close game, though I don’t have a prediction on who wins it or if it will be a thrilling ending.

Friend sent me this gem of a text: Before you get too worked up about today's game, just remember that the Vikings haven't won multiple games in a postseason since the 87 postseason - beating the Saints & 49ers.

One win should be seen as a great gift.

      1. And since this seems to be consensus, I expect them to lose today. Vikings performance tends to be proportionally inverse to expectations.

        1. True Vikings fans know that it is their destiny to lose every big game they play. Should they happen to win a big game, it's only so they can lose a bigger game later on. This is our heritage, and I embrace it proudly.

  3. Seriously, though, I've been coming around on Cousins a bit, and he's really had a great season, but to end it on that. Heaving it to a different receiver (say the best in the league) couldn't have been any worse than tossing it to someone inside the sticks with a defender bearing down on them. Like, it really couldn't have been any worse.

Blech, I'm making a ruling. It was a middling loss, so that one vote has it.

  4. Had dinner at Pike and Pint tonight and the owner joined us for a drink.

I'm kind of a big deal.

  5. After seeing this, at least some of the blame goes on the play call. How do you not have anyone running an interview route on 4th and 8?!
