With Dick sick, it sounds like Provus will be the PBP man on the TV broadcast today. I can’t recall him doing a full game on TV in the past. I’m really interested to see how he & Morneau team up; Gladden is, well, I guess an institution is the polite way to say it.
I think Provus will fit right in with Justin. During college football and basketball season he always has a different sidekick and always makes the booth sound like they are 10 year vets. Atteberry and the Dazzleman have worked together before.
It sure is nice to feel the sun on the skin and have temps above freezing

I was really looking forward to watching today's game since it's on MLB Network. But ten minutes ago I learned that YouTube TV failed to renew it's agreement with MLBN and no longer offers the channel on its service. Boo! Very, very boo!

Friend called with an extra ticket for the game today … my kids are off for Good Friday/Easter weekend so I had to regrettably decline the invitation. I know I’ll miss it when they’re independent and old enough to do their own thing, but it doesn’t make saying ‘no’ to a complimentary home opener feel a whole lot better.
On the other hand, we did have fun staying up together to watch the Goofs beat BU last night, which wouldn’t have happened if they’d needed to be up for school this morning.
I’m regretting that I didn’t do the classic opening day + Hamilton double header. At least I’ll get the Hamilton part done!
The St. Paul Saints made a deal to have 18 weekend games broadcast on the Twin Cities CW affiliate. That doesn't do me any good, but those who live in the Twin Cities area may be interested.
Excellent to have something on broadcast TV again.
