  3. Kept waiting for one of the on lookers from the side to catch a trombone in the face.

    1. The big marching bands own the street on parade day. It’s nearly impossible to explain the ebb and flow of the parade route. Immediately following the band is a float that entices the crowd into the street to catch throws from krewe - then the whole crowd, on both sides of the street, need to rapidly retreat to keep from being trampled by the next band or riding group or dance group or lucha libre gang…..

      I’ve been thumped in the chest by a bass drum mallet more than once.
