  1. A week ago today, my aunt Jan died. She had advanced dementia and it was no surprise, though she was young (66) to have such a severe case.

This morning my grandfather on the other side died. He was 96 so, again, no real surprises here. My mom told me it was inevitable last night so we came down and I ended up being the last one to talk to him, though it was more for me than he, and one can’t be sure if any of it got through.

Both deaths have been inevitable for some time but I guess it never occurred to me that they’d happen in such quick succession. I’m glad the suffering is over, but I’m drained, and Skim’s graduation party is today at 1 so we’re going to have to rally somehow.

    1. Recently my wife's mother passed away, and while we can say that we expected it to happen, the truth is that you're still never ready for it.
Peace be with you my friend.

    1. For some reason, I feel like I've never seen runners advance off a wild pitch that hits an umpire. I probably just don't remember because it happened in some mundane circumstances.

  2. So I used to be able to click on radio station feed from MLB Gameday. Now the option is gone. What happened?
