   1. All I have to say about that is if they beat the Cornholers tonight, it will make my day.

2. Reports are that the Twins put in 3 waiver bids. Not sure when we find out the results.

3. The plot thickens.

   1. One source said that after appearing certain just Tuesday that the bullets came from inside Guaranteed Rate Field, detectives are now reconsidering the possibility that they may have come from outside.

      1. Gun Belly was a coincidence?!

4. The Cleveland Guardians claimed right-handed starter Lucas Giolito and right-handed reliever Reynaldo Lopez on waivers from the Los Angeles Angels, sources tell ESPN.

      Is this out of spite, or are they delusional enough to think they can still win the division?

      I had assumed the Dolans were cheap enough to let these players pass.

      1. I mean, it’s not impossible that they could win the division, but it doesn’t seem worth it for the low chance of playoff entry on top of low chances of advancing in the playoffs.

         Personally, I think this salary dump is against the whole spirit of the game — for starters, the waiver rules clearly were not meant to handle a situation like this. And the Angels definitely shouldn’t get any potential luxury tax relief for dumping players at the end of August.

      1. On the plus side, no one that the Twins will face in the playoffs got anyone, either.

         Unless, you know, the Reds make it to the World Series.

5. College daughter had her ring camera stolen by a couple hoodlums. Wore surgical mask pulled down under his nose. They've spoken at least a half dozen the last two nights. I'm thinking they shouldn't apply to MENSA anytime soon.

   1. Sheenie and I will be there (unless she has not recovered from whatever just made her violently ill for the last 2 hours)

         Algona and his wife as well I think.

         I also still have 1 more ticket if anyone still needs a solo.

8. I’m out. After I struck out on the initial Pearl Jam lottery, my wife won tickets from her employer for their Saturday night show.
