  1. I gave up my lunch out with another WFH neighbor in order to attend a last-minute meeting, and then not everyone could show up so they decided to reschedule. Thanks. Thanks a lot.

  2. The boys don't go back to school until Tuesday and the peperoncino's summer program (which is at the school) is closed this week. To get myself a break from making yhrm lunches today, I gave them a $20 bill and told them to bike together to a Mexican restaurant that's about a mile away. The boys were successful on the adventure and I got a quiet house for an hour!

    1. He's had a good year in St. Paul. On the other hand, he's 29, he's never established himself in the majors, and the one year he did get significant playing time, 2021, he batted .229 with an OPS of .618. He's fast and supposed to be good on defense. I guess anybody could get hot for a month.

  3. Here's a pleasant shock: five of the first six slots in tonight's batting order ended the night with OPSs north of 800.
