The last game Estrellas played was Saturday, when they defeated Escogido 7-3. A four-run seventh put them in the lead to stay. Miguel Sano was 1-for-1 and drove in three runs. Robinson Cano was 2-for-4. Esmil Rogers started and pitched five innings, giving up one run on five hits and striking out four. The win went to Gerson Moreno, who pitched a perfect seventh. It appears to be a round-robin playoff, and Estrellas is tied for first with Licey with a record of 3-1.
Caribes did not qualify for the playoffs, so their season is over.
