For the first time since 1803, two particular broods of cicada will emerge at the same time. As the kids love cicadas, I'm hoping they don't bring any in the house.

Licey again had a big first inning, scoring five in the first to defeat Estrellas 8-5. In their three wins, Licey has scored eleven first inning runs. Miguel Sano was 1-for-2. Lewin Diaz was 1-for-3. Yangervis Solarte was 1-for-3. Marcelo Martinez started and pitched only a third of an inning, allowing five runs on three hits and two walks. Licey now leads the best-of-seven series 3-2.
2023, or maybe 2022, was supposed to be a big cicada year but I heard zero. I kind of missed the background whine of my childhood summers.
