  1. The last time the Twins hit two ore more home runs in a game was June 27 against Milwaukee.

  2. It seems like there have been a lot of games lately--and not just Twins games--where there's been a lot of complaining about the strike zone. I don't know if the plate umpires are worse, if TV technology has revealed more errors, or if teams are just complaining more.

  3. It seems like it's a lot easier to wiggle when you're able to strike a guy or two out.

    1. Not a catch, but needs to watch this clip every once in a while to feel good

    2. That was an unbelievable catch by Hicks. I don't know how many catches I've seen where the fielder didn't watch it for that length of time.

  4. Wouldn't it be awesome if it worked out that we could have Hicks and Buxton in the same outfield?

    1. If Arcia could start buying again, that would be a nice couple of guys to have out there to make up for his lack of fielding prowess.

      1. I was going with the glass half empty of "well that could have been worse."

  5. I notice that MauerwithPauer has a lower average and no more HRs than the actual Mauer. Huh.

    1. I think I'd be able to hear target field from the people's republic if that happened.

    1. also, bottom of the order. I love Perk and all, but maybe not the right situation? Unless he's gonna go 2 if necessary.

  6. I do like sending in May. I hope he had enough time to warm up that he could go four innings.

      1. O'Rourke has been used as a LOOGY a lot even in the minors, so that's the role I'd expect him to have with the Twins. He's been pretty good at it, this year's numbers notwithstanding.
