Maddon gets cute with his bullpen, and Lackey gives up da bomb. Couldn't have happened to a nicer fellow.

On Saturday wattsy observed that Carlos Beltrán must be one of the last active players with hits in both County Stadium and Tiger Stadium. He is, in fact, the only active player with hits in both of those ballparks, and the only remaining active player with a hit in Tiger Stadium.
There are, however, two other active players on the County Stadium list with Beltrán (who actually has the lowest OPS there). Who are they?
Yup! He’s also one of four actives with a hit at Three Rivers.
He was my fun pick too! Radical!
Mine too!
Also:
He popped into my head and I thought, no, why would he have a hit there?
I had the same thought, forgetting how far back interleague play was implemented
His hit obviously came after, but Bartolo’s been around so long the Brewers were still in the AL when he first pitched at County Stadium.
I didn’t spend a ton of time on this, but here’s the number of active players with a hit in former MLB ballparks (and one exhibition venue):

I didn’t bother to do a unique sum of players with hits in the various corporate-sponsor incarnations of Joe Robbie Stadium. The * for the number of active players with a hit in Tokyo Dome is for Ichiro, who has plenty of hits there from his NPB days, but none while in MLB.
There is an active player who struck out in every PA at Cinergy Field (minimum 5 PA).
At least that was over two games. That same player has a Golden Sombrero from his only appearance at the Astrodome.
His pitch clock next year should be set to three seconds.
I think they already enforce the pitch clock in the minors.
He meant 500%, of course, but that was still a pretty damned good article.
Popovich - I just amassed a ton more respect for him. No link due to forbidden topic, but you can probably find his comments on Google if you type a politician's name that rhymes with DUMP.

I have to imagine one is
, and possibly
. If it's anyone else, it's a bit player who is off my radar.
Ha, my fun guess was correct!

Heh, this article includes a video of Lackey's 6 pitches in 5 minutes, sped up 500
x% out of consideration for your time. His pitch clock next year should be set to three seconds.
