Three extra inning games, including one that went thirteen despite the Manfred Rule.

ROCHESTER 4, BUFFALO 1 IN ROCHESTER

The Red Wings trailed 1-0 through seven, but scored all their runs in the eighth.  Devin Smeltzer pitched six innings, giving up one run on five hits and a walk and striking out three.  Jorge Alcala made a successful AAA debut, striking out two in two shutout innings and giving up only a walk.  Trevor Hildenberger came back from a rehab assignment to pitch a scoreless inning, giving up a walk.  The Red Wings are 64-63, in third place, three games back.

PENSACOLA 4, MISSISSIPPI 2 IN MISSISSIPPI (10 INNINGS)

The Blue Wahoos scored two in the ninth to tie it and Ryan Jeffers hit a two-run homer in the tenth.  Jimmy Kerrigan was 2-for-3.  Jeffers was 2-for-5 and the home run was his fourth.  He is batting .340.  Marcos Diplan started and struck out four in two shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk.  Edwar Colina struck out three in three shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk.  His ERA is 2.03.  Jonathan Cheshire struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up three hits.  His ERA remains zero.  Andrew Vasquez pitched a scoreless inning, giving up a walk.  The Blue Wahoos are 32-25, in third place, three games back.

FORT MYERS 4, CHARLOTTE 2 IN CHARLOTTE (13 INNINGS)

Incredibly, despite starting each half-inning with a man on second base, neither team could score in extra innings until the thirteenth.  Jacob Pearson was 2-for-6 with a double.  Dakota Chalmers struck out seven in 5.1 innings, giving up one run on three hits and three walks.  Calvin Faucher retired all six men he faced, striking out five of them.  Moises Gomez struck out three in 2.2 scoreless innings, giving up one hit.  Joe Record struck out four in three innings, giving up an unearned run on one hit and two walks.  The Miracle is 30-28, in fourth place, eleven games back.

QUAD CITIES 9, CEDAR RAPIDS 3 IN QUAD CITIES

The River Bandits led 9-0 after six.  Daniel Ozoria was 2-for-4.  Tyler Webb was 2-for-4 and is 6-for-9 in his last two games.  Jared Akins was 1-for-3 with a two-run homer (his eleventh) and a walk.  Jose Martinez struck out four in two shutout innings, giving up two hits.  His ERA is 2.97.  The Kernels are 32-25, tied for third, four games back.

ELIZABETHTON 7, PRINCETON 6 IN PRINCETON (11 INNINGS)

Each team scored once in the tenth but the Twins got two on an error in the eleventh.  Seth Gray was 3-for-5 with a home run (his ninth) and a double.  Will Holland was 2-for-5 with a home run (his seventh) and two runs.  Janigson Villalobos was 2-for-5.  Matt Wallner was 2-for-6 with a two-run homer (his sixth) and two runs.  Max Smith was 2-for-6.  Anthony Prato was 2-for-6.  Owen Griffith struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up one hit.  His ERA is 1.35.  Benjamin Dum struck out two in two innings, giving up an unearned run on one hit.  The Twins are 28-31, in fourth place, 2.5 games back.

GCL PIRATES 10, GCL TWINS 2 AT TWINS

A three-run fifth gave the Pirates a 6-0 lead.  Jake Hirabayashi was 2-for-3 for the second consecutive game.  Jose Guevera struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up a walk.  His ERA is 0.98.  The Twins are 28-17, in second place, 3.5 games back.  They lead the wild card race by 1.5 games over the GCL Tigers West.

DSL TWINS 1, DSL ORIOLES2 0 AT ORIOLES2

A wild pitch scored the game's lone run in the eighth.  Giovahniey German started and struck out four in 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up one hit and four walks.  Develson Aria struck out eight in 3.2 scoreless innings, giving up only a walk.  Fernando Sanchez pitched three shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk and striking out one.  The Twins are 23-38, in seventh place, eighteen games back.
