The fact that the White Sox can't beat the Twins even now is probably my favorite thing about the 2011 season.

July 8, 2011: Hosers
Playing the White Sox is the key to getting well.
2011 Game 86: Twins at Hosers
Hey, the White Sox! This should be fun.
Carl Pavano 5-6, 4.19 ERA, 3.90 FIP, 4.13 xFIP, 1.5 WAR
Philip Humber 8-4, 2.69 ERA, 3.51 FIP, 4.02 xFIP, 2.1 WAR
Well, that looks like a personnel decision that hasn't worked out for the Twins, but I suppose we knew that when Santana was traded in the first place.
Humber strikes out a lot more guys than Pavano at this point, but he walks considerably more, too. It would appear that this very good year is thanks in part to a .222 BABIP, but his 103 innings aren't an insignificant sample, so it looks like Humber might just be a better than average starter.
Pavano, meanwhile, continues to look more like Blackburn, striking out nobody and being prone to the occasional shelling. The Twins have been owning the White Sox in recent years, but I'm not all that comfortable tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to see it - the internet at the place in Phoenix isn't great. Hopefully Dumatrait and Burnett won't get anywhere near it, either.
July 7, 2011: Phoenix, for Real
Okay, now I'm waking up in Phoenix. I assume I'm miserably hot, and I assume I spent at least some of last night moving stuff out of a U-Haul and into the house.
July 6, 2011: Phoenix
Assuming I'm on schedule, I'm in Phoenix now, dreading the fact that I'm about to leave my wife and kids behind as I head off to LA.
July 5, 2011: Fresno
One of Cathy's friends lives here, and an aunt and uncle of mine live here. bS made a crack about Fresno being gang central, but if my aunt and uncle are part of a gang, I'm no longer scared of gangs.
Eight hundred miles of driving yesterday. Gross.
July 4, 2011: Fireworks in Fresno
Drive safely, patriots. Or not at all.
...me? I've got sixteen hours of driving to do today.
July 3, 2011: On the Road
If all has gone as planned, I'm on the road to Fresno right now to begin about a week's worth of business before I return home. If you see me around the WGOM today, something's probably not right.
July 2, 2011: Last Day
I have a wedding to go to on this, my last day in Yakima, unless anything goes wrong, and a lot of things already have. Moving blows.
July 1, 2011: Seattle
Yesterday I went to Seattle for the last time before the move. I won't miss Yakima, but I'll miss being a couple hours from Seattle.
Also, Jeff A, the Milkmaid was touched that you remembered her birthday. Well done as always.
