Now on to the tenth day in my seventeen-day work stretch. I let management know offhand yesterday. They winced a little and promised to fix it.

An assistant manager had the decency to approach a couple of us yesterday and admit that the general manager's tactic at this point is to do absolutely no promotions from within. I'd sort of gotten the hint, but it's clear now. This interview today means essentially nothing.

Harbaugh beat Harbaugh and we're now free to focus on the lost Timberwolves season and a potentially exciting Wild season (and either way, both sports generally bring it in the playoffs).

Can baseball really only be nine weeks away? Time to pick a team, dudes.

I don't really care about the game today, but I'm still glad for Purple Jesus and Cris Carter.
