I've stayed up until 1am (at least) reading TV Tropes. AMR, did you suggest that? I'm simply lost there.

Today my mom arrives at the airport for a week-long stay, and as luck would have it, I got Friday/Saturday off this week. Homesickness subsides, if only for a moment.

What does a laddie have to do to get a fresh cup of joe around these parts?

It's my mom's birthday. This is normally the kind of event that makes me really miss Minnesota, but she'll be here visiting us in three days.

I got to work yesterday to find out my work schedule for the week had completely changed. I tried to be angry, but I had no plans and the changes were sort of to my liking, so I left the anger to other employees.

Right now it seems my two options in Washington are to live in a house with four people and two dogs - too cramped for my blood - or in a hotel room with one other person...who happens to be the most undeservedly vain person I've ever met in the business. Oy.

I have 57 days until shooting starts (unless it's pushed back, and it will be, because that's the business) but I'm already finding it difficult to take the day job seriously anymore.

A couple of days ago, I helped a customer, about 40 or so, who had the TC logo tattooed on his neck (I forgot to mention it because this was an hour or two before I helped Corey Hart). He twice said Morneau when he meant Mauer, he advocated Mauer moving to first and I had to remind him of the names of Shane Mack and Gene Larkin. I felt like I should have demanded a tattoo transfer.
