Pitching prowess:  Kyle Bloor pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up three hits.  Alejandro Crisostomo struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up two hits and a walk.

Opposition standout:  John Gil was 3-for-5 with a double and two runs.

Record:  The FCL Twins are 25-28, in fourth place, 6.5 games behind the FCL Rays.

DSL MARLINS 5, DSL TWINS 1 AT TWINS

The Marlins scored one in the fifth, two in the sixth, and two in the seventh.

Pitching prowess:  Anderson Chacon pitched five innings, giving up one run on three hits and striking out three.  Sebastian Pulido pitched 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up two hits.  Fabian Herrera pitched a perfect inning, striking out one.

Opposition standout:  Estarlin Francisco pitched five shutout innings, giving up one hit and striking out two.

Judge Emil Fuchs was the owner of the Boston Braves from 1923-1935.  He was a magistrate judge in New York City from 1915-1918.

Toni Stone was the first woman to play in the Negro Leagues.  She played from 1949-1954.

Charley Steiner has been broadcasting Los Angeles Dodger games since 2005.

The original WGOM was born on this day in 2004.

One Twin injured, the other a last minute replacement who'll probably be a defensive substitution in the last inning. Temperature at Globe Life Field should drop to roughly 117° by game time, so stay hydrated, my friends.

DSL METS ORANGE 9, DSL TWINS 4 AT METS ORANGE (7 INNINGS)

The Twins scored three in the sixth to tie it 4-4, but the Mets Orange scored five in the bottom of the sixth.

Multi-RBI games:  None.

Stolen bases:  Merphy Hernandez (18).

Pitching prowess:  Santiago Rojas pitched four innings, giving up two unearned runs on two hits and a walk and striking out two.

Loss:  Anderson Ramos (2-2).

Opposition standout:  Elwis Mijares struck out six in five innings, giving up one run on four hits and a walk.

Record:  The DSL Twins are 15-14, tied for fourth with the DSL Rockies, 8.5 games behind the DSL Rangers Red.
