Where They Stand
Short seasons are done, the others will conclude over the three-day weekend. Elizabethton is in the playoffs, Beloit will be.
Minor League Team Leaders: DSL Twins
Minor Details: Games of 8/25
Beloit produces the lone Twins victory. A rough start for Kyle Gibson. A big day for Wilkin Ramirez. The GCL Twins fall short.
Minor Details: Games of 8/24
Tough rehab start for P. J. Walters. Lots of big offensive nights at the lower levels. Daniel Ortiz, Angel Morales, Eddie Rosario, Max Kepler, and John Murphy all had three or more hits. A fine outing for Madison Boer. The GCL Twins move into a tie for first with one game left. Jason Pridie and Yohan Pino make the Twins pay.
Where They Stand
Two teams are in the playoffs, two are a game out, one has an outside shot, two have been eliminated. The major league team, of course, will make the playoffs with a record of 89-73.
Minor Details: Games of 8/23
Chris Parmelee has nothing to learn in Rochester. No snap in the Snappers’ bats. A big game for Max Kepler. Lots of errors in the DSL. A Denny McLain sighting!
Minor Details: Games of 8/22
Tough day for Twins affiliates. A pitchers’ duel in Rochester. Josmil Pinto makes his AA debut. Another pitchers’ duel in Fort Myers. Byron Buxton is starting to hit in Elizabethton. Joel Licon is a hero for the GCL Twins.
