These two cats hit the stage at Jazz Fest last weekend. The crowd was pretty deep, and I didn't even get close, although I did see miss gaga on the corner of royal and canal...

I'd rub it in by saying that I know it's a regular old tuesday everywhere else, but we're partying like it's going out of style (even if the weather is 36˚ and raining...). Seriously, never seen a crowd this deep and crazy during mardi gras before. Enjoy your Feburary Tuesday, citizens, but y'all should really consider a trip to NOLA for the parade season sometime. I'll be happy to meet anyone in front of Johnny White's pub on the corner of Orleans and Bourbon any day of the week.
Here we go again...

Oh, mama. It's carnival time, but the only video of Al "Carnival Time" Johnson isn't great. Just go and play that song and book your tickets. In the meantime enjoy Professor Longhair melting your face.
Another piece in memoriam.

Hope you folks are ready for a good hard Nibbing, cause Nibbish is up next.
If you're in NOLA today, I highly suggest you stop by French Quarter Fest to catch The Night Tripper's set. If you're not in NOLA today then you're missing out.

I know it's barley spring in MN, but the summer time heat and humidity are beginning to appear in NOLA. If the opportunity presents itself, I recommend seeing this guy live.

It's thursday and I feel like funkin' it up.
