  1. Jeebus!

Also, I'm here! But I don't know how long I'll last. At some point, I'll have to disconnect either my computer or my directv to get ready for the packers in the morning.

      1. That would be nice!

Also, my stuff won't make it to my new place until apparently August 12th. So, it was nice knowing you all! Hopefully the Twins are still in it when I get back!

      2. Hmm. How many runs would the Twins need to score to feel safe about a lead? 12?

  2. aren't all games against SEA right now almost shutouts?

    PAUER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ITS on!

        1. Correct. Celebrating exactly what, I'm not sure yet, but definitely celebrating something being in the rearview.

          1. Sometimes just being done is enough reason. When I was done with my thesis, I went and tried my best to drink Prague dry (Hint: I lost)

  3. Somebody is bidding $1600 to spend one inning in the booth with dicknbert? I'd spend $1600 for one inning without them.

  4. Evening everybody, just got home from taking the Mrs. out for dinner to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Nice to see we actually have a lead.

      1. Dinner & drinks and home to nurse our colds. Nothing like a good head cold to make you feel romantic!

  5. Those kids running out on the grass whenever they think there is a homerun always makes me think "that's hick as hell".

    1. The throw from centerfield hopped past Casilla and the Dunce twisted a knee backing up the play.

  6. Yet another dinner at the Lowbrow. Sheenie and I have spent way too many evenings there in the past few months. Killebrew Root Beer FTW!

        1. Rhu I'd say yes but that's the night before the wife's neck surgery (she's getting herniated disks fused just like Justin Morneau!) and unless I can convince her to come with I don't think I should be leaving her home alone. Not if I want to see my 21st anniversary.

    1. Have a safe and event free move! Remember whatever happens you'll laugh about this years from now.

      1. I was mistaken earlier. There is another man attending my mini-caucus. His name is Glen. Glenfiddich.

  7. Arlington plays "Hit the Road, Jack" even when the guy went six and two-thirds and leaves with a three-run lead, eh? Maybe they should take that song on a case-by-case basis.

        1. At Yakima County Stadium, when a manager came out to make a pitching change, we played "Torn Between Two Lovers." I thought that was fairly inspired, on its own scale.

      1. I'll be bummed if/when Kubel gets traded/leaves, but I'm probably irrationally attached to him because of all the RonDL/TynyDH/etc. crap we had to put up with in the DH spot before he established himself.

  8. DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!!

(Ok, I'm still actually here, but thanks for the well wishes! I'll be gone for real soon.)

  9. Dick, the Twins have a six run Lead. Pinch running Butera for Thome isn't a big risk. I doubt that a Twins pitcher will bat in this game.
