  1. Neshek!!!

I saw that story this morning in the Sac Bee. I'm looking forward to seeing him in green and gold a Major League uniform.

  2. Holy relief pitchers, Batman!
    Julio DePaula, managing?
Travis Bowyer, still pitching? (He was traded to the Marlins for Luis Castillo, got hurt, and never again pitched professionally... until this year.) If he could make it back, that'd be bigger than Lew's or Neshek's journeys.

    1. DePaula pitched in four games for the St. Paul Saints last year! How did I miss that?
I could have had him sign my jersey!

  3. Im surprised the Twins havent claimed Mark Hamburger

the CJ Nitkowski story is an interesting one. The last time he pitched in the majors was 2006 and was out of baseball altogether for years because of injuries, then had a stem cell procedure done Europe. He did a tryout for the Mets earlier this spring then the Mets signed him.

    1. I had thought they might go after Hamburger, too, since they sometimes like to reacquire players who left the organization. He's in the Houston organization now, though.

      1. well then, maybe the Twins put a claim on him, but since Houston is the worst team in baseball, they have waiver priority.
