  1. Am I the only one who cares?

Probably, and I only care for a few innings before I hit the hay.

  2. I love the Revere-Mastroianni combo at the top of the order. The best would be Mastro 9th, then roll the lineup over to Span and Revere

    1. Had to eat on my way to campus. Medium roast beef from Arby's & a diet peach green tea to drink. I ordered a side salad, but the heathens put finely chopped red onion on it. They were too small to get out, so I didn't get that. I loathe raw onions.

    2. Leftover night. Warmed over pot roast and a chicken, black bean and corn quesadilla. Fresh cantaloupe for desert. Later I'll be having a Summit Oktoberfest. I really like that beer.

  3. I think the key to Twins baseball™ is when it there is a grouping of errors that do not result in a run.

  4. without looking, Dustin Ackley probably has 5 HRs, 25 RBI and hitting at least .500 against the Twins.

  5. the way this game is going, the Twins will have back to back complete games by the pitchers, and lose both games.

  6. Brilliant strategy by the Twins here: Suck for Buxton in 2011, Assy for Appel in 2012. Twins World Series Champs 2015!

  7. Had the Twins scored two on Monday night, they'd have won, so this is really just a matter of bad timing. So, I guess we'll have to settle for 85-77! I don't mean to be a pessismist, but I'm starting to think this team may not be able to make the playoffs.

    1. Has anyone ever analyzed teams' best possible records given their distribution of runs scored?
I don't know if it would result in anything, but maybe by sorting runs for and against separately, seeing what could result with different outcomes. Would that produce interesting results? Probably not, but I'm curious. I'd probably want to separate runs scored in 9 against runs scored in extras, and save those extra-inning runs for and against to break any ties. I might have an Excel project for tonight...
