TwinsJhonatan Arias (Oriente) was used as a reserve and did not bat.  Miguel Sano (Oriente) was 1-for-4 with a run and two RBIs.  Luis Perdomo (Aguilas) worked 1.1 scoreless innings, striking out one while allowing only a walk.

Game summary:  Aguilas led 8-3 after four.  Oriente put the tying run in scoring position in the eighth and got him on base in the ninth.

Oriente:  Ed Rogers was 2-for-5 with a double and a home run.  Michael Martinez (Philadelphia) was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Aguilas:  Wilin Rosario (Colorado) was 2-for-5 with a three-run homer.  Juan Carlos Perez was 2-for-4 with a home run and scored twice.

ESCOGIDO 12, CIBAO 2 IN ESCOGIDO

Game summary:  Escogido scored five in the fifth to take an 8-2 lead.

Cibao:  Francisco Peguero (San Francisco) was 2-for-3 with a double and a run.  Leury Garcia (Texas) was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI.

Escogido:  Ramon Santiago (Detroit) was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk, scoring twice and driving in one.  Carlos Santana (Cleveland) was 1-for-3 with two walks, scoring three times and driving in one.

ESTE 3, LICEY 0 IN ESTE

Game summary:  Este scored one in the third and two in the fourth.

Licey:  Anderson Hernandez (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-4.  Willy Lebron (San Francisco) struck out two in two shutout innings.

Este:  Raul Valdes (Philadelphia) gave up four hits and a walk in six innings.  Ricardo Nanita (Toronto) was 2-for-2 with two doubles, two walks, and an RBI.
