Worst free throw ever? More like, GREATEST FREE THROW EVER!!!
the first 8 minutes of the 7am SportsCenter is dedicated to one loss by the Lakers to the Cavs.
Well, they are like an East Coast team...
They should've kept Bernie Bickerstaff as their coach. He's had the best record of the three.
Maybe the fire D'Antoni crowd in NYC had a point.
My commute time has tripled this week so I have had soje time to think about the Twins.
Will they have a single player on the field that is above average defensively for his position? Mauer is the only one that came to mind. All 3 outfielders and the corner infielders will be below average. I don't know who will man the middle of the infield.
Is it possible for a 66 win team to get worse?
Did you see that Youk got $12 mil? Mauer is underpaid!
Yet one more former Red Sox player on the Yanks. I wonder if Cashman watched Moneyball lately?
If Hicks or Benson win the starting CF, they would be above average, I would think. Benson looked very good in his September callup and has a stronger arm than Span. Hicks is supposed to have plenty of speed and would probably have the strongest CF arm in the majors (some had scouted him as a pitcher when he was drafted and I believe he had a mid-90s fastball).

I'm already looking forward to Hicks' appearance in relief in a blowout loss this season!
when Hicks gets called up, will Gardy stick him in CF or put him in RF with Mastro in CF because he is a grittier player?
Also, the defensive metrics on Florimon (in SSS) has him average to above average, so it is possible he will be above average if he hits enough to keep his spot in the lineup. Losing Casilla could hurt the defense, but hopefully the switch to second will help Dozier's defense (he was only slightly below average for UZR at shortstop, so if he can cut down the errors, he could be average or better).
I recall the scouting reports on Florimon being very positive, so I think shortstop will be fine. If Morneau is still at first, then he should be average. I think Dozier will be below average at second, though hopefully will improve to average. Wherever Carroll plays will be fine. I'll skip Plouffe. And Willingham. I think Mastroianni is the 'favorite' for center field right now and he should be average. I'm not sure about Parmelee in right, but I don't expect him to be that bad.
I think the defense will be mediocre, but not dreadful, at the beginning of the season. Once Hicks takes over in center, that will help a lot. Florimon at short, Carroll at second, and Hicks in center should be pretty good defense up the middle.

Thankfully, I had some quality soje time this week also.
This is the 12th LTE on 12/12/12 it must be my lucky day or something.
Reverse of Eddie Vedder singing for the Doors, only drawn up by some manatees.
The only pass he has completed is the one to Samantha Steele.
Dan Patrick on Christian Ponder
it would help if a Vikings wideout would actually get open.
IN 4ltr's top 100 baseball countdown, Carew is 53 and Killer is 64. Discuss.
I'd have to think hard about this one, but my initial response is that those placements are not totally crazy (although I might reverse their spots).
A quick list ranked by rWAR has Carew at 35 and Killebrew at 109. Add in pitchers and I think their ranking of Carew is close enough. Probably a bit low, but whatever. For Killebrew, I would likely lean closer to the 109 than 64.
