Game summary:  Oriente led 3-0 after two.

Licey:  Anderson Hernandez and Juan Miranda were each 2-for-4.

Oriente:  Manauris Baez struck out five in five innings, allowing five hits and a walk.  Felix Pie was 2-for-4 with a walk, scoring twice and driving in one.

AGUILAS 5, ESCOGIDO 3 IN ESCOGIDO

Game summary:  Aguilas scored two in the seventh to take a 4-3 lead and got an insurance run in the ninth.

Aguilas:  Jonathan Villar was 1-for-2 with two walks and scored three times.  Dustin Richardson struck out four in three shutout innings, giving up two hits and two walks.

Escogido:  Ramon Santiago was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk and scored once.  Julio Lugo was 2-for-3.

CIBAO 8, ESTE 5 IN CIBAO

Game summary:  Alexi Casilla (Baltimore) singled and scored in the fifth to put Cibao ahead 5-4.  They scored one more in the sixth and two in the seventh.  Este’s final tally came in the ninth.

Este:  Jamie Romak was 3-for-4 with a double and a home run and scored twice.  Esteban German was 2-for-4 with a home run.

Cibao:  Jean Segura was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring three times.  Nelson Cruz was 2-for-3 with two walks and two RBIs.
