Batting starsTrevor Plouffe was 2-for-4 with a home run, driving in three.  Chris Colabello was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.  Ray Olmedo was 0-for-1 with three walks and scored once.

Pitching starBlake Martin struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up no hits and two walks.

Opposition stars:  Argenis Diaz was 2-for-4 with two doubles, scoring twice and driving in two.  Nick Castellanos was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk, scoring twice.  Mike Cervenak was 2-for-5 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.

Key inning:  The sixth.  Trailing 5-2, the Mud Hens struck for seven runs.  They had not scored with two out, although they had two runners on.  After the second out, though, the next six batters reached base.  Cervenak drove in two with a double, Ben Guez had an RBI single.  Diaz drove in two with a double, a run scored on an error, and Kevin Russo had an RBi double.  The damage was done off Vance Worley and Michael TonkinWorley had a line of 5.2 innings, seven runs, nine hits, one walk, and two strikeouts.

Opposition stars:  Daniel Minor struck out four in 3.1 scoreless innings, allowing three hits and a walk.  Jesse Wierzbicki was 3-for-5 with a home run, scoring three times and driving in four.  Carlos Correa was 2-for-2 with three walks, scoring three times.

Key inning:  The seventh.  The River Bandits trailed 4-3.  A walk and an error put the first two men on base, and a sacrifice bunt moved them to second and third.  With two out, a walk loaded the bases and Jobduan Morales delivered a two-run single to give Cedar Rapids the lead.  Caleb Brewer put the first two men on base, but then was replaced by Josue Montanez.
