Who's hot in the minors.

Rochester:  Deibinson Romero was 7-for-21 with a double, a triple, a home run, and eight walks.  For the season, he is hitting .273/.378/.441 in 245 at-bats.  Pat Dean was 1-0, 1.23, 0.75 WHIP with 10 strikeouts in 14.2 innings.  These are also his season numbers in Rochester.

New Britain:  Miguel Sano was 10-for-24 with four doubles, three home runs, and three walks.  For the season, he is hitting .258/.363/.597 in 159 at-bats.

Fort Myers:  Stephen Wickens was 8-for-18 with two doubles, a walk, and two steals.  For the season, he is hitting .240/.340/.333 in 321 at-bats.

Cedar Rapids:  Adam Brett Walker II was 10-for-32 with two doubles, a triple, and three home runs.  For the season, he is hitting .284/.324/.557 in 436 at-bats.

Elizabethton:  Zach Granite was 8-for-23 with seven walks.  For the season, he is hitting .294/.376/.344 in 163 at-bats.

GCL Twins:  Sam Gibbons was 1-0, 1.13, 0.88 WHIP with 7 strikeouts in 8 innings.  For the season, he is 1-2, 1.53, 1.26 WHIP with 20 strikeouts in 29.1 innings.

DSL Twins:  Ariel Montesino was 4-for-13 with a double, a triple, two walks, and two stolen bases.  For the season, he is hitting .233/.377/.302 in 43 at-bats.

  1. I was going to ask if there was any chance of a prospect-type player (heh, had to do it) getting called up to replace Carroll, but I see Wilkin Ramirez was tabbed. Probably a good idea to get another outfielder on the roster, but I would have liked to see someone else get a shot.

    1. Ramirez hasn't exactly been tearing up the track in New Britain, either. 5-for-29 with one double, and three of the hits came in one game almost a week ago (1-for-21 since). I know, small sample size, but it'd be nice to have seen a little more evidence that he's actually ready to play before they brought him back.
