Ex-Twin Terry Doyle pitches well in the Mexican League opener.

MEXICALI 4, OBREGON 1 IN OBREGON

Mexicali:  Chris Roberson was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and scored twice.  Kevin Kouzmanoff (Miami) was 2-for-4 with a double and scored once.  Terry Doyle (Boston) pitched six shutout innings, giving up three hits and two walks with two strikeouts.

Obregon:  Iker Franco was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

The game:  Mexicali scored one in the first and led all the way.  Roberson hit a two-run homer in the sixth to make it 3-0 and an RBI single by Gil Velazquez (Miami) made it 4-0 in the seventh.  The lone run for Obregon came in the ninth.
