2014 Game 38: Red Sox at Twins

Today's "I don't want this pitching matchup to exist" pitching matchup is Felix Doubront vs. Kevin Correia. At the near-quarter mark of the season, the Sawks are 19-19 and the Twins are 18-19, still treading water with the rest while the Tigers sit well in front as expected.

You know, this team may not have me "excited," but it's nice to be playing .500 ball for a while. If we can get it for another month or two leading into the ASG, I think I'd be fairly satisfied.

  1. Dick talking about how the bullpen is tapped out. I didn't watch last night's game on TV, but when I saw the relievers Gardenhire was going to in the 7th, I was not surprised he needed a bunch of them.

I'm going to take a rally nap. Last time I did this 8 batters walked in an inning, so wish me luck!

It seem like most of the citizens are right there with you.

  3. Dick and Bert hating on Hicks for being "laid back". As a pretty laid back person, I'd like to tell them to go soak their heads. You don't need to set fire to office furniture to maintain a competitive edge.

But you won't, you'll let it slide.

      1. Ha. I'll have you know that I sent a Tweet to Dick this morning about it.

...albeit for the specific intent of proving you wrong.

    2. From experience, one nice thing about being a simultaneously laid-back+competitive person is that when your teammates are really f**king up and you snap and tell them to get their asses in gear, they definitely listen.

  4. Just got back from tough group bike ride (but hey, I stuck with the B+'s and finished with them - usually they lure me in, then shake me on the hills).

Hey Bos-Min on the big screen. W00t! And Wings Over West Hartford.

  5. Bo-sox sqwaukers wondering why Giambi's aren't on the top twins in sports tweet list.

    Do you know why?

  6. Wgom fun fact: Bloomington and Minneapolis are the farthest north venues to host a World Series game.

    1. Until Seattle hosts one.
Or some European city like Amsterdam or Paris.
Will it still count if its called "Wereldkampioenschap Honkbal" or "Série du Monde de Base-Ball"?
