    1. I watched the 4th. Greiner was a nonfactor. Moore and Augustus picked up their games and the Lynx were in control throughout.

  1. No school in the Runner family for the first time in ~20 years now that Runner daughter is all gradimucated from college and is jobified. But we do have vacation plans to the beach in NJ again this year -- does that count?

    1. Yes, probably. But:
      1. Is this a full set?
      2. Do you know what he's been playing lately? and
      3. Do you like it?
I mean, he could be playing all "Get On Jolly" which would be good and all, but not necessarily above 15GBPS for me.

Based on what he was playing in March, DO IT.

      Also,
      4. Is that actually what you'd pay? About $42? Or are there service charges for printing your ticket and venue charges and whatever? Transportation? It won't bust your budget or anything, will it?

      1. Tickets plus 1 pound for service fee. I think I'll pull the trigger as it's just him in solo show format, and it certainly won't break the bank. Transportation? I've got two legs. Which, incidentally, cuts down on the parking fees.

  2. Looks like I may get a bump in my salary this fall. I make a good wage, but even so it's nice to see it go up a bit -- it's been flat for quite some time. One interesting item is as a telecommuter I will no longer be able to expense my work phone and internet, but instead it will be built into my salary; I'm more than happy to kiss that paperwork goodbye.

    1. Saw that on the Golf Channel last night ... in general, the way those guys hit the long ball, I'd have thought PEDs before coke.

        1. That story is full of other 'goodies' too (sexual indiscretions with another tour player's wife!), but to bolster my first point:

At the British Open two weeks ago he hit one drive that measured 405 yards.

          My goodness.

  3. Mauer went on to say that he considered "sweet" as an option, but his mother said that a lot of "bad seeds" used it as slang.

"Yeah, I guess A.J. Pierzynski always used to say things were ‘pretty f-wording sweet' when he was here, which is fine, I guess. That's just not me."

  4. Oh, crap. Serious injury for Paul George at start of 4th quarter in USA team scrimmage. Gruesome. Joe Theismann-level gruesome.

    1. I know what I won't be looking for tonight. That really sucks, though. Cruel world out there.

    1. I think this comment sums up pretty good why certain reporters (*cough*Chris Sheridan*cough*) are full of it when they claim using a picture of the injury is some sort of journalistic responsibility and not just for page views.

That said, yeah, those are two words I will never use in a search again.

      1. I looked at the Deadspin article- the one still shot they had of it was more than enough for me, I definitely didn't watch the video.
