ESCOGIDO 2, CIBAO 1 IN ESCOGIDO

Twins:  Jeremias Pineda pinch-ran and played in the field for Cibao, but did not bat.

Cibao:  Jonathan Diaz was 2-for-3 with an RBI.  Maikel Franco was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run.  Brooks Raley pitched 4.2 innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks with one strikeout.

Escogido:  Joc Pederson was 2-for-3 with a triple and a walk, scoring once and driving in one.  Pedro Ciriaco was 2-for-4 with a run.  Merrill Kelly struck out three in two shutout innings, allowing two hits and four walks.

The game:  Pederson tripled and scored in the first and an error led to a run in the third to give Escogido a 2-0 lead.  Cibao got one back in the fourth, but only once got a man to second base after that.
