MAGALLANES 7, MARGARITA 3 IN MARGARITA

Magallanes:  Frank Diaz was 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs.  Tomas Telis (Texas) was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs.  Orangel Arenas (Angels) pitched five innings, giving up two runs on four hits and two walks with no strikeouts.

Margarita:  Manny Pina (Detroit) was 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.  Alberto Gonzalez was 2-for-4 with two runs.  Luis Ysla (San Francisco) pitched a scoreless inning, allowing one hit.

The game:  Diaz hit a three-run homer in the fourth that gave Magallanes a 4-2 lead.  It was still only a two-run margin at 5-3 after seven, but Magallanes got two in the eighth to take control.
