  1. I've rung out one person since the game started. One guy came in right when the game started and clearly intends to watch the whole thing here.

  2. I honestly think everyone would be served better by watching the video I posted for today instead whatever is coming up for the halftime show, and what I posted is pretty awful.

    1. I don't think Katy Perry takes herself too seriously*, so I expected lighthearted entertainment and was satisfied. I didn't watch it too closely, but I let the kids watch it.
The opening truck/puppet robot-lion was cool. Imagine if in the future they have a dozen of them and don't bother with the singer.

      *contra Madonna

        1. It was mild fluff. I was bored, but I guess I can see how people would enjoy the spectacle (and her admittedly fun approach).

          Also, Lenny Kravitz? Whatever.

this review from the Atlantic sums up some of my view.

Lenny Kravitz played "I Kissed a Girl" for no immediately discernible reason other than to head off criticism that no real instruments were played on stage—a woefully inadequate sop to an inherently suspect complaint, like if Selma had put more flattering makeup on Tom Wilkinson to keep people from saying LBJ didn't get a fair shake. Missy Elliott's appearance was far more memorable, though equally inexplicable.

  3. This is great

Yeah, this Chris Matthews story -- Foot Locker worker who had never caught an NFL pass before -- is really happening.

  4. Was there so much demand after the movie Ted came out that they needed to make another one?

    1. It was released on June 29, 2012, and received generally positive reviews and was a commercial success, becoming the twelfth highest-grossing film of 2012, the highest-grossing R-rated film of the year, and the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time.

      I would say, yes.

      1. I am actually surprised by those numbers.
I recently caught the movie on tv. It was good, but not great. Just thought the story resolved itself.
But what do I know. hahah

          1. And I thought Ted was one of the worst movies I've ever tried to watch. I only lasted twenty minutes because it was so bad I couldn't even hate-watch it.

  5. Yeah, I thought Edelman looked a little woozy after that one catch to, and Im watching the game on tv

Check out @davebirkett timeline. Heard independent medical officials radioing down for Edelman to be checked twice.

  6. That was a nice catch. Reminds me of, I recall, a game-winning catch in a Vikings v. Packers game.

      1. Serious. Lynch lunges forward for 3 yards every time.

I wonder if Wilson called an .audible at the line
