  1. Bert talking about Gibson and giving up big innings: "You want to minimize your damage...."

Me: Yea, like only giving up solo HRs!

    1. the rookie needs to work on running to the outside of the line. Gibson needs to work on sprinting to first.

    1. Yup. And a nice inning for Gibson.

I've been waiting to deploy my Gibson K image, damnit.

  2. seems like Gibson is alternating between 1-2-3 innings and innings with multiple baserunners.

  3. FWIW, I installed Windoze Ten about a week ago. So far, so good. I'll have to run YET ANOTHER update tonight, however.

    1. 35% K rate and a 16% walk rate. Highest K rate for a qualified hitter is 33%. Highest walk rate for a qualified hitter is 18.5%; Sano would tie for fifth.

      1. Hard to find a match for him. Chris Davis is not too far with a 32% K, 11% BB, and .284 ISO (Sano at .283). Davis is at 3.8 fWAR for the season. Chris Carter is at 33% K and 13% BB but .195 ISO. He's at -0.3 fWAR.

    1. I'm drinking a Ceres Summer Ale from Mankato Brewing Company. It's roughly on past with their other stuff, which is to say that it's fairly mediocre. Oh, well.

    1. Linds turned to me as they were taking about him and said "they REALLY love him, don't they?"

I could only sigh and acknowledge that she was talking about the best leader the Twins ever had and that she should show some respect.

  4. *sigh* May is doing too well as a setup guy. It's going to make the team hesitant to move him back to the rotation, i think.

  5. The Rangers with a worse run differential than the Twins have moved ahead of the Angels into the second wildcard spot. Twins are 1 1/2 games back and can jump ahead of the O's with a sweep tomorrow.
