January 15, 2016: Inevitable Crisis

My younger daughter continues to excel in everything she does, and I worry more by the day that my elder daughter will have trouble with this. Ugh. They're becoming young women, and this is getting difficult.

    1. Junior has always kind of struggled in baseball, usually batting near the bottom of the order and playing the outfield and sometimes being a bench player, while Trey was an All-Star one year and has always been a starting pitcher/closer, infielder and leadoff batter. So far, we haven't heard too much from Junior about his younger brother's success, but we try to keep Trey's mouth in check, which isn't always easy. Fortunately, Junior has really blossomed this year in his pitching for his Jr. Hi team and has become the ace on a team that had basically no pitching returning. It also helps that they're 3 1/2 years apart, so big brother still beats younger brother when playing against each other.

  1. Could the passing of Dan "Grizzly Adams" Haggerty be the conclusion of the triad?
    Yes: Actor, of cancer.
No: not British, not 69 years old, did not ever wear prosthetic lack of genitals for film*.

*to my knowledge. AFAICT, all I ever saw him act in was Grizzly Adams in syndication.

    1. Joking aside, if he could turn himself into a decent long reliever, he could be quite valuable to NL teams as a pitcher/pinch runner/OF/pinch hitter for pitchers.

  2. The trinket danced at half time of the girls b-ball game tonight. We sat and watched the first half while the dancers were practicing. I couldn't gel but wish that smitch were there with me because the other school was at a very clear talent disadvantage, but they had an issue offense based on spacing, ball movement, drives and threes. Because of all the threes they took, they were only down four at half.

  3. Do we have any hardcore puckheads here? How come the Wild have been playing so terrible lately?
