  1. If I haven't mentioned before, if you watch MLB Gameday in Chrome, there is an extension (called Gameday Classic) that opens Gameday in Classic Mode, the way God intended.

  2. I really hope Dazzle is wrong about how outfield playing time is going to be determined.

    1. I'm afraid to ask what the Dazzle said, luckily he is wrong about a lot of things.

      1. You didn't ask, but I'll tell you anyway. He said the outfielders are going to be evaluated at-bat to at-bat, and if you have a couple of good at-bats you'll be in there the next day. That would be an awful lot of pressure to put on young players, who are already likely to be trying too hard and putting too much pressure on themselves. Everybody has bad at-bats and bad games and even bad weeks and bad months sometimes. I hope the people in charge of the Twins can take a longer view than the average Strib commenter.

        1. Yeesh, that isn't a very efficient way to evaluate players of any age. How much would Gladden have played in his career if he got sat down every time he had a couple of poor at bats.

  3. Do we have the wildest pitchers in the league, or do we have catchers that just can't catch?

  4. Marlon Byrd will be thirty-nine in August. He's been a good player, but not exactly a star. I suspect his career may be done now.

  5. I can understand how Dazzle missed the change from San Francisco Warriors to Golden State Warriors. It only just happened forty-five years ago.

    1. Rows, I kid you not - maybe 10 minutes after you posted this, while on my way home, I saw a guy in a Valencia shirzee walking down the street. I don't think it would've even registered if not for the "Revenge" lte.

  6. I have a theory on why the Twins allow so many give back runs. The theory is that the Twins aren't a very good team.

  7. Dozier and Plouffe not exactly hitting it where it's pitched with two runners on base. Dozier hit a grounder to shortstop on a pitch on the outside corner and Plouffe hit a fly ball to right on a pitch on the inside part of the plate. Neither one came with 2 strikes.

  8. With eight relief pitchers, do we really have to use Trevor May every other game?

      1. The results have nothing to do with it. I mean, good for him that he struck out the side, but unless the Twins make a completely unexpected and unlikely comeback, it did nothing to help the team. Tomorrow the Twins may actually have a decent chance to win, and either May won't be available or, if he is, there's a good chance he'll be less effective because he pitched in back-to-back games and has made twenty-seven appearances already this season.

        1. And right on cue, May has not pitched since this game and...

Trevor May did not get into the game, and Molitor said the reliever is dealing with some soreness, although Molitor added that he hopes to have May available to pitch Wednesday.

  9. Three pitchers are no-hitting the Rochester Red Wings with one out in the eighth.

    1. The no-hitter is intact through eight. Wilfredo Tovar, James Beresford, and Jorge Polanco will be trying to break it up in the ninth.

      1. A fourth pitcher was used in the ninth and Beresford and Polanco got back-to-back singles to break up the no-hitter. Well, technically it was just Beresford's that broke up the no-hitter.
