The Red Wings scored two in the fifth to take a 3-1 lead and led the rest of the way. Logan Darnell pitched six innings, somehow giving up only two runs despite allowing ten hits and three walks with three strikeouts. Jorge Polanco was 2-for-4 and is now batting .333. Adam Brett Walker II was 1-for-2 with a home run (his twelfth) and a walk. John Ryan Murphy was 1-for-3 with a home run. Eddie Rosario was 1-for-4 with a double and is batting .321. Logan Schafer was 1-for-4 and is batting .350 in twenty at-bats.
CHATTANOOGA 6, JACKSONVILLE 1 IN CHATTANOOGA
D. J. Hicks had an RBI single in the fifth to put the Lookouts up 2-1 and they put the game out of reach with a three-run eighth. David Hurlbut had another fine game, pitching seven innings and allowing one run on six hits and no walks with five strikeouts. After a poor start to the season, his ERA has come down from 7.71 to 4.19. Hicks was 3-for-4 with a double. Daniel Palka was 2-for-4 with a triple. Engelb Vielma was 2-for-4 to raise his average to .300.

A four-run fourth gave the Kernels the lead and a four-run seventh put the game out of reach. Sam Clay struggled for the second time in three games, going five innings and allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts. Williams Ramirez struck out four in two shutout innings. His ERA drops to 0.61 with a WHIP of 0.75. He has 20 strikeouts and 4 walks in 14.2 innings (7 games). Sean Miller was 4-for-5 with a double. Zander Weil was 1-for-2 with a home run (his fourth) and two walks. Luis Arraez was 1-for-4 with a double and a walk to make his average .315. Nelson Molina was 0-for-4 and is batting .304. LaMonte Wade did not play.
