No doubt he'll be a September call-up, but Vargas and his 155 OPS+ was just optioned to AAA for a reliever.
I'm convinced the Twins would hold down 1987 Mark McGwire for being too one-dimensionsal.

Vargas and his 155 OPS+ were sitting the bench this month anyway. He'd played in seven games in August, and one of those was as a defensive replacement in a blowout. There's nothing I can say about it that I haven't said many times before.
