Ran Run For The Woods 5K at Sessions Woods WMA this morning. Not in the forecast, but it was pouring rain the entire time. Tough for a boyo with glasses to see the trails...
NBBW got first place in her age group, and an apple pie to boot.
Topped it off with Canule Bolognese for lunch (and apple pie for desert).

Basically, yes. I'm a big fan of bourbon/whiskey in general and really appreciate Old Fashioneds and Manhattans, but I'd never made a julep before.
Appreciate the thought of a glorious, tear-inducing mint julep, but I gotta tell ya, when I make it down to New Orleans, an authentic Sezarec will come first.
Unfortunately, New Orleans has a strictly enforced one drink per visit policy.

So, the universe is funny. Sturgill Simpson played Memphis tonight. I bought one of the last door held tickets, and had a great evening. Doesn't mean I'll forgive the boss just yet.
