In an attempt at analogy, I went with a 'Small Hall' vs. 'Big Hall' and was met with blank stares. As American as baseball and apple pie my @ss.
Anyway, in an attempt to find a succinct definition of that discussion for reference, I stumbled across this fine 2015 effort from Mr. Darowski at The Hardball Times. Immediately thought of the Half-Baked Hall.*
I think about it every once in a while, but enthusiasm was really waning at the end. I could just run through ballots without discussion, but that would feel a bit hollow.
Maybe I could skip around. Do a ballot from this year with Mauer on it.
Interesting. How far along is the process? I can imagine the kind of heartburn this causes for some, and the opportunity suggests to help some folks who could be helped by getting out from under some bad paper.
