Had a burger tonight at the Twins Grill, a Full Service Restaurant in the C-wing of the MSP.
They had blazoned imagery of the Puck, Killer, TonyO, and Hrbek on the back screen. The FOTF? Gladden and Torii mysteriously absent.
The waitperson said that they couldn't do the Twins Grill Burger with 'some pink'.
Me: Is that a new thing? No pink?
He: Nope. We've always just made them this way.
Me (looks over the other options, bails): OK I'll get that.
Appreciate seeing the Herb-Crusted Steak Medallion Sandwich (tip o' th' cap to Mr. Carneal, mebbe).
If I remember correctly, most of the Metro health departments do not let proprietors serve burgers less than well done. Luckily, I live in a county where you just have to put a disclaimer on your menu that meat not fully cooked can increase your chance of food borne illness. Unluckily, there are only a couple joints in our area that know how to cook a burger less than burnt to crap. If I can't get it Medium or less, I refuse to eat a burger.
Yeah even when I can ask for medium it always comes to me well done. Thankfully ketchup saves the day.
