ROCHESTER 4, SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE 3 IN ROCHESTER (10 INNINGS)

A fielder's choice brought home the deciding run.

Batting stars:  Randy Cesar was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, his third.  Adam Rosales was 2-for-4.

Pitching stars:  Zack Littell pitched five innings, giving up one run on five hits and three walks and striking out four.  Jake Reed pitched two shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk.  D. J. Baxendale pitched a perfect inning, striking out one.

Opposition star:  Cliff Pennington was 3-for-4 with a home run, his second.

Stats:  Cesar is batting .323.

Record:  The Red Wings are 8-12, fifth in the International League North, 6.5 games behind Lehigh Valley.

PENSACOLA 5, JACKSON 2 IN JACKSON (10 INNINGS)

Jaylin Davis hit a two-run homer in a three-run tenth.

Batting stars:  Davis was 3-for-5 with a two-run homer, his third.  Tanner English was 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs.

Pitching stars:  Sean Poppen struck out seven in five innings, giving up one run on five hits and a walk.  Cody Stashak struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk.  Ryan Mason struck out three in a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.

Opposition star:  Riley Smith pitched five shutout innings, giving up three hits and two walks and striking out two.

Stats:  Davis raised his average to .308.  Luis Arraez was 0-for-4 with a walk and is batting .305.  Poppen has an ERA of 0.75.  Stashak has an ERA of 1.86.  Mason's ERA is zero.

Record:  The Blue Wahoos are 15-6, first in the Southern League South, four games ahead of Biloxi.

PALM BEACH 7, FORT MYERS 1 IN FORT MYERS

The Cardinals scored three in the third and four in the sixth.

Batting star:  Trevor Larnach was 2-for-3.

Pitching starAlex Phillips struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up two hits.

Opposition star:  Johan Oviedo pitched 6.2 innings, giving up one run on three hits and three walks and striking out four.

Stats:  Lewin Diaz was 0-for-3 and is batting .339.  Phillips has an ERA of zero.

Record:  The Miracle is 12-9, third in the Southern League South, three games behind Palm Beach.

KANE COUNTY 7, CEDAR RAPIDS 0 IN KANE COUNTY

The Cougars scored four runs in the first inning.

Batting star:  Gilberto Celestino was 2-for-3.

Pitching stars:  Zach Neff pitched 3.1 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and no walks and striking out three.

Opposition star:  Bryan Valdez struck out five in five shutout innings, giving up one hit and no walks.

Stats:  Gabriel Maciel was 0-for-4 and is batting .379.  Gabe Snyder was 0-for-4 and is batting .366.

Record:  The Kernels are 9-11, fifth in the Midwest League Western, four games behind Burlington.
