Yankees pull within 2 homers of the Twins
1 homer
Ahead in runs now though I think.
They were yesterday already
Berrios perfect through 4. Not a ton of swings and misses but pretty good location.
4 walks since July 1 for Rosario. Yuck.
He chases that outside pitch, then is stuck protecting the strike zone...and he's no protector
He also isn't hitting the get me overs when they happen
No need to throw the wild pitch when you can misfire the pickoff
*checks when free last had internet*
Oof, free is in for some rough Twins news on Thursday.
Someone poke these guys and remind them how to score runs, huh?
Yanks tie in homers. Yeah, that's over.
4ltr has a herd of writers just chomping at the bit for this
Yanks ahead of the Twins. Already six homers tonight
Not anymore!
Winner!
Glad Berríos could be the superpitcher today, waiting for the Twins to score.
We found them runs!
Walking Rosario to get to Garver.....that's bold.
That's one word for it. Not the right word.
I was just going to say, I don't understand NL strategies.
Necessary step to fill the bases.
Someone had to go there
Beat that dead horse until some regression finally happens.
Holy crap, the scores in the A's / Astros series are ungodly
The Astros are unstoppable right now.
Except tonight
Oops, I read the score backwards. They're otherwise unstoppable.
Just what the Twins needed from the pitching.
Someone let the pups out of the kennel, eh?
Two-hit shutout? I'll take that.
Yankees hit six homers yet lose to the Tigers. I realize they were using their worst pitchers most of the night, but man I want a piece of this team in the playoffs
Yankees hit six home runs and get walked off anyway.
13 of Garver's 30 HRs have given the Twins the lead. Most of those were in the first 3 innings. 3 of them have been in the 7th inning or later, including 2 this month. The other one was in the 8th inning on June 14 to give the Twins a 2-0 win at home vs. the Royals. Gibson and Rogers combined for a 2-hitter.
Twins had scored exactly 2 runs in 4 of their previous 5 games. One of those they won 2-1. The other game, the trailed 2-1 in the 8th before Schoop with a game-tying double and Garver with a 3-run HR.
